We are excited to announce internship opportunities for summer 2026!
This year, we are looking for students to join four key departments:
Mechanical Engineering
Electrical Engineering
Software Engineering
Business Development
Mechanical, electrical, and software engineering
If you are studying mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, embedded systems, IT, cybernetics, data engineering, or have experience in programming, CAD or embedded development, we are very much interested in getting in touch with you regarding the technical departments.
Business Development
For the non-technical department, related studies and experience within fields such as industrial engineering and technology management, logistics, economics or have experience with business development, innovation, business analytics, process modelling, management consulting, we would love to get in touch about your potential fit in our non-technical departments.
At OmniMod we don't care too much about how far in your course of study you are, as long as you have the passion and willingness to learn. We want you to have fun at the same time that you are being challenged.
What you'll be doing
As an intern, you will work on a dedicated project which will enhance your technical and professional experiences. Tasks will include:
Mechanical engineers: Design, planning, and production, with opportunities to execute physical testing. Familiarity with CAD, 3D printing, and prototyping is highly valued.
Electrical engineers: Circuit design, embedded programming, and execution of physical testing. Familiarity with ECAD tools and embedded systems development is highly valued.
Software engineers: Frontend (TypeScript), backend (Python/Rust/Go), machine learning (pytorch), robotics. Experience with any of these fields are a plus, but not a must. Familiarity with one or more programming languages is also positive, we use Python and Rust, but any experience is valuable as long as you are willing to learn.
Business developers: Problem scoping, customer interviews, process modelling, data analysis, market research, business case modelling. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is highly valued. Experience with sales and logistics is a plus, but not a requirement.
Interdisciplinary and extracurricular experience is highly appreciated across all roles.

Practical details
The engagement runs from mid-June to mid-August 2026.
All roles will be located at Fornebu, with the possibility of working part-time from Trondheim/remotely thereafter.
